Petersburg Guide
We can also arrange tours to Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallinn from St. Petersburg. Now, with the new ferry line connecting St. Petersburg and Helsinki, it is more than possible. In fact, you can make up a whole Scandinavian tour, visiting four Baltic capitals.
Trip to Helsinki from St. Petersburg
Guided panoramic city tour is a great way to discover the most important sights of Helsinki, such as the Senate square, Esplanade, Dormition (Uspenski) cathedral, Parliament building, Olympic stadium, Sibelius monument, Temppeliaukio (Rock church), etc. Helsinki has a number of artistic, historic and ethnographic museums.
Upon your wish, you can include inside visits to: the Sea fortress of Suomenlinna, Athenaeum Art museum, Kiasma (museum of contemporary art), Helsinki city museum, National museum of Finland. You will get to know Finnish design, its history and world-known names, visiting related places of interest. Shopping at the Kauppatori (seaside market) will be a special experience to add.
1-day trip to Stockholm
Cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm to combine visits to two Nordic capitals.
Founded circa 1250, Stockholm has long been one of Sweden's cultural, media, political, and economic centres. Stockholm is one of the most vibrant, colourful cities in northern Europe, often nicknamed as "the Queen of Lake Malaren" or "beauty on water". Stockholm charms everyone with its grand castles, international shopping, majestic architecture, world-class dining and romantic waterways. There's something for everyone in Stockholm - the Royal Palace, the Vasa ship museum, the Old Town (Gamla Stan), the National museum, etc.
You can catch an evening ferry to return to Helsinki the next morning.
Tallinn - the Medieval Hanseatic town is another visit you can consider taking from Helsinki (a couple of hours by ferry) or from St. Petersburg (about 4-5 hours of drive).
A walking tour of the Old Town will take you through maze of medieval cobblestone streets, historic buildings, ancient churches, old buildings of trade guilds and companies. Medieval legends and stories come alive when you check out medieval shops, walk through haunted districts and meet a chimney-sweeper (for good luck).
You'll enjoy lunch in traditional hanseatic restaurant - a taste experience in a historic area, candlelight and warm atmosphere, with a choice of 15-16th century delicacies.
Upon your wish, you can also visit some sights outside the Old Town, such as the Song Festival grounds and the Kadriorg park and palace of Peter the Great (visit to Kadriorg art museum) and/or include the following visits to your tour itinerary: Niguliste museum, Tallinn city museum, Maritime museum. Another interesting experience will be a visit to the former Dominican monastery and a walk along Katariina kaik (the street of craftsmen) and visits to workshops located there.
Trip to Finnish Lapland from Helsinki is a perfect winter experience - leave all stress and pressure behind, close your eyes and prepare yourself for an adventure! A holiday in Rovaniemi is a combination of town and nature, with destinations including the Santa Claus Village on the Arctic circle, Ranua Wildlife Park, a variety of museums, exciting winter safaris and the Ounasvaara skiing and recreational centre.
