Petersburg Guide

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
If you choose to use our services you don't need visas! According to the Russian Federation laws, international cruise ship passengers are permitted to visit Russian ports without a visa for a period of up to 72 hours. Passengers who wish to go ashore during port calls may do so without a visa only if they are part of an organized tour (individual organized tour in this case). We will provide you special tour tickets which allow you to pass the port customs without any problems.
At the immigration office in our port you are to show:
- passport
- tour ticket which we provide you
- photocopy of the page of your passport which contains your photograph and personal information
Your personal guide will meet you at your ship-side holding a sign with your name on it. A car or a minivan will wait for you a few meters away.
NOTE!!! The previous seasons it happened many times that the cruise lines staff warned passengers that they couldn't leave the ship unless they had booked a shore excursion with them.
This was false information and in these situations cruise lines just tried to protect their own business. According to the Russian law the tour tickets which we provide our guests (as well as other tour companies do) give you all rights to leave your ship and to have visa-free tours with us.
There were also cases when the staff of the Óruise lines tried to control the order of the disembarkation in our port. They could announce that those passengers who had made their own independent arrangements must wait until ship excursion passengers had exited first.
This is false information too! You have the same rights as those who ordered their program on the ship and you are to insist on it! In fact for the Russian immigration office it does not matter whether you have booked your tour with the cruise line or not. Please insist on your rights and don't waste your time waiting for other people to exit.
